Abstract: | The Lonchaeidae fauna of Israel is reviewed, and three new species are described:
Lonchaea longitarsis, Protearomyia hermonensis, and Silba israel. S. israel is recorded also from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and some specimens of S. adipata are recorded from countries adjacent to Israel. A key is provided to the six genera and twelve species currently known from Israel, and locality records and general distribution are provided for all the species. Figures of male and/or female terminalia are provided for all the species.
