Lamprolonchaea sinensis Type description

Lamprolonchaea sinensis McAlpine, 1964: 697

Male-All basal tarsomeres pale yellow remaining tarsomeres increasingly darker brown. Squamae white with white
fringes , margins yellowish white. Wings hyaline with pale yellow veins. 3rd
and 4th veins little convergent at their apices i.e. distance
between them at apices 0.88 times that at posterior cross vein. Frons narrower
than in any other Lamprolonchaea species seen , sides strongly inwardly curved in
the middle, dull brownish black, subshining from some angles, orbital plates
rather strongly shining , lowest pair of interfrontal setulaenot longer or stronger
than other interfrontal hairs. Lunule and parafacials rather strongly silver
pollinose , more so than any other Lamprolonchaea species seen

Mesonotum,
scutellum and abdomen duller than in any other Lamprolonchaea , sub shining
brassy-greenish-black, uniformly brownish grey pollinose. Scutellum with one
lateral setula on each side between apical and lateral setae but none between
apical setae

Abdomen
wholly lightly pollinose. Genitalia large and extremely distinctive. Epandrium
axe shaped in lateral view , the broader axe edge forming the ventral margin ,
postero ventral angle with 4 extremely long setae, each of these 1.5 times as
long as the epandrium is high and reaching to the apex of the extremely long
posteriorly directed cerci.. Surstylus in the form of a peculiar ear shaped
structure   Lying
within the epandrium. Aedeagus quite unlike any other Lamprolonchaea species, two segmented,
basal segment somewhat conical in side view , apical segment twice as long as
basal segment , boomerang – shaped with a dorso basal projection joining it to
the basal section.
